Terms of Service

InnovLead Inc. is a business incorporated in Ontario, Canada. These terms govern your use of innovlead.ca. They do not govern a client engagement. That is a separate written agreement, and where the two differ, the engagement agreement wins.

Information about our services, and a way to contact us. It is not advice. Nothing here creates a professional relationship between us. Reading a page about privacy compliance is not the same as being advised on your privacy compliance, and you should not act on anything here as though it were.

We want to be exact about this, because our field is full of firms that are vague about it.

InnovLead is a consultancy. We are not a law firm, an accounting firm, an insolvency trustee, a securities dealer, or an accredited certification body. We do not give legal advice, prepare or audit financial statements, provide tax advice, act in insolvency proceedings, advise on securities, or issue ISO certificates.

Where our work touches those areas, we work alongside your own professional advisers, or we tell you that you need one. Where a certification is involved, the certificate is issued by an accredited certification body, never by us. We prepare you for it.

Use it lawfully. Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorised access to it. Do not send us anyone else's personal information without their knowledge.

If you send us an enquiry, we handle it as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you send us an idea or suggestion unprompted, we cannot promise to keep it confidential or to avoid working on something similar. We may already be. If something is confidential, tell us before you send it and we will put a confidentiality agreement in place first. We do that routinely and at no cost.

The text, structure, frameworks and materials on this site belong to InnovLead. You may read, quote with attribution, and share the pages. You may not republish them as your own or resell them.

Third-party names and standards referred to on this site, including ISO, PECB, PIPEDA and Law 25, belong to their respective owners. Referring to a standard is not a claim to be endorsed by, or affiliated with, the body behind it.

The website is provided as it is. We keep it accurate and current, but we do not warrant that it is free of error or always available.

To the extent the law allows, InnovLead is not liable for loss arising from your use of this website. This clause does not limit liability for anything the law does not permit us to limit, and it does not apply to a client engagement. Liability there is dealt with in the engagement agreement, where it belongs.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply in it. This does not remove any right you have under the consumer or privacy law of the province where you live, including Quebec.

We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
